A Life of Luxury: '7 Star' Hotels from Around the World

February 17, 2016

Read on as we take a closer look at the world's stunning collection of 7 star hotels, featuring the famous Burj Al Arab and the Town House Galleria.

It seems only right that we begin our list of the world's '7 star' hotels with Dubai's grand Burj Al Arab, the fourth tallest hotel in the world, pictured above.

The Burj Al Arab is built entirely on reclaimed land and cost around $650 million to build, first opening its swanky doors back in December 1999. The most expensive room at the luxury getaway is the Royal Suite, which costs thousands of pounds for one night.

Designers created Dubai's '7 star' hotel in the shape of a ship's sail, and a helipad and tennis court lie at the top of the building.

There's a couple of restaurants within the Burj Al Arab that offer a glorious view of Dubai such as Al Muntaha, which sits around 200m above the Persian Gulf. Pretty impressive, eh?

And while Dubai might win on the plush stakes, there are still a few more spectacular seven star gems around the globe...

Pangu 7 Star Hotel

Pangu Seven Star Hotel Beijing

Beijing's Pangu 7 Star Hotel lies in the heart of the imperial city and is within a short drive of a number of venues built for the Olympics, including the National Stadium (Bird's Nest) and the Aquatic Center (Water Cube).

There's a fancy indoor pool to have a dip in if you fancy, along with a number of restaurants, bars and lounges to relax in. According to the hotel owners there's 'premium bedding' and 'Italian sheets' on offer too, which doesn't sound too shabby.

Just under 250 rooms make up the hotel and the stunning suites have ceilings around 4m high. The Pangu 7 Star Hotel also features the world's fourth largest library, so bookworms are well catered for.

Seven Stars Galleria

Opened in 2007, Milan's Seven Stars Galleria is an 'intimate, elegant hideaway', sat in the Milan shopping arcade Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.

If you're feeling lazy then you're in luck, as the hotel puts on a top-notch butler service for its guests. Just a brief walk away from the hotel is the magnificent Duomo Cathedral, La Scala Theatre and Milan's buzzing fashion district.

Seven Stars Galleria is in the ideal position for shopaholics, with some high class designers all keen to show off their threads on the cobbled streets of Milan.

A range of elegant rooms are there to pick from, from the Deluxe Junior Suites to the breathtaking Galleria Penthouse Suite. You'll sleep soundly underneath your silk duvet, that's for sure.
