The Bruges Moods Festival is by no means the biggest event in Belgium but those who visit the city during the festival are always pleasantly surprised by the standard of talent on show.
- When? 28th July - 5th August 2017
- Where? Burg (downtown Bruges) and Binnenplein Belfort
- Price: Tickets are individually priced per event - some are free
Heading for Bruges early August? You'll probably be in the mood for Moods then. Providing a series of concerts in two separate areas of the city and featuring a variety of talented musicians, local bands and mesmerising performers, the relatively unknown Moods Festival is always an added bonus to those visiting Bruges during this time of year.
The beautiful city of Bruges is a wonderful place to explore, with a friendly, welcoming atmosphere sweeping the streets. Every summer, the Moods Festival adds to the city's appeal, creating a buzzing vibe in Burg Square and Bruges Belfort. The full lineup is yet to be released this year, though previous years have seen free concerts in the former with additional music events in the latter which you can attend for a small fee. You can expect anything from rock bands and contemporary artists, to a spot of Flamenco dancing or salsa; there's sure to be something for every taste on at least one of the evenings here.
While these venues may be busy on the night of the concert, other areas in Bruges remain easily accessible and there's no need to worry about the city being overly crowded during the festival. Good news for the moody few who like their space then.
- Get there: Fly to Bruges and use public transport to get around - there are bus stops all over the city.
