Discover new and emerging talent at Zagreb's Amateur Film Review Festival which sees hundreds of screenings, events and more.
Calling all budding Hitchcocks, future Allens and popcorn lovers (so that's everyone then) - Zagreb's Amateur Film Review is one of eastern Europe's biggest festivals of its kind. Celebrating emerging and up-and-coming filmmakers, the event attracts over 10,000 visitors every year and draws people from across the globe.
Hundreds of showings, held over the long weekend, serve to make the festival diverse, inclusive and eclectic; from documentary pieces to feature length showstoppers. Encouraging amateur and non-professional films, the event uses citywide venues - from alfresco green spaces to trendy drinking sports - to screen around 200 titles. A celebration of all things creative and artistic, musicians and bands also support specific evenings, given night showings a touch of glamour.
During the festival, accommodation gets snapped up quickly and ticketed events sell out fast so make sure to book early. After all, you don't want to miss out on the next big thing (or, let's be honest, the popcorn).
*We do our very best to verify the dates of our events but please check with the official event provider before booking your flights. We would hate for you to be disappointed!
