Attracting some of the world's most famous fashion brands and industry superstars, this week-long event is every fashionista's dream.
Dust off your Manolos and dry clean your Dior, Paris Fashion Week is one of the world's most exclusive events and a highlight on the industry's calendar. Along with London, Milan and New York, the week is one of fashion’s 'big four' and attracts globally known fashion houses, designers and celebrities. Staged in several iconic Parisian landmarks and buildings, the event gets bigger and more extravagant year after year.
Tickets to the shows are pretty hard to come by but even if you don't manage to make it to FROW, the city itself is still a great place to soak up the glamour and buzzing excitement. Alongside the world's biggest names in fashion, the week also attracts a whole host of A-listers and royalty. Spectators are treated to a range of creative masterpieces during each catwalk show, which have featured everything from futuristic light displays to grandiose sets. Big names (like Dior and Chanel) often host their collections in famous landmarks including the Grand Palais and the Espace Eiffel, while younger designers showcase in quirky clubs and hip spaces.
During fashion week the French capital can be busier than the stage door of a Justin Bieber concert. If you're in town you'll need to book up accommodation quickly and plan well in advance if you’re looking to score tickets. Of course, if you're a fashion VIP then you've probably got nothing to worry about. For us mere mortals however, we might have to make do with the hanging around outside with the loitering paparazzi. Glamourous.
*We do our very best to verify the dates of our events but please check with the official event provider before booking your flights. We would hate for you to be disappointed!
