Get ready to dance into the early hours at Sunburn, Asia's largest electronic and dance music festival in Goa.
Although it has a painful sounding name - Sunburn Festival in Goa is anything but. Dubbed one of the largest electronic music festivals in Asia this big, dance-centric fest is fast becoming one of India's (and the world's) most popular events of its kind. If you like your crowds big and your music loud then this is one ticket you won't want to miss.
Held in the popular beach resort of Vagator, Sunburn draws in thousands of party-goers every year, who flock to its multiple stages to listen to some of the biggest names in electronic music; previous line-ups include Paul Oakenfold, David Guetta, Sam Feldt and Dyro. Alongside big name acts, there are also creative areas, food zones and a market. Spread over four days, this mega-festival draws in a range of revellers, from trance lovers to dubstep ravers. A testament to its success, it was named one of the world's top ten festivals by CNN. Today, it attracts around 100,000 visitors each year.
So forget being a lobster after sitting by the pool all day - this type of sunburn sounds far more fun. Tickets are released in waves so you'll need to keep checking the official website for details of when they become available - be ready when they do, they tend to sell out faster than an ice-cream van on a hot day.
- Get there: It's a little over an hour from Goa International Airport to Vagator,
- Stay: Book accommodation in Vagator - you'll have to be quick though.
