If you’ve got a case of Delhi belly by the time you hit Jaipur on your golden triangle trek, then you’ll be happy to know the World Street Food Festival held at the Jaipur Marriott offers food from every corner of the globe. In April each year, chefs and restaurants from around the world gather in the Rajasthan capital to show off their culinary skills, giving tourists and locals the chance to escape the spice and try something new.
The Okra all-day dining restaurant, situated in the Marriott Hotel, hosts the festival vendors who come from places such as Thailand, Malaysia, France and Japan. The restaurant itself is decorated for the event to give visitors a multi-sensory food experience with booths adorned in their country’s colours and specific street décor.
In previous years, guests have enjoyed popular dishes such as sushi, pizza, Turkish durum, crêpes, burgers and pastries as well as unusual flavours and speciality dishes that are unique to the chefs themselves. Don't worry if you're still after a decent curry, you’ll have the chance to try local Goan, Lucknowi, Rajasthani, Hyderabadi, Rampuri and Bengali dishes as well. What’s more, the organisers also provide guests with the perfect accessory for those Insta-worthy foodie shots – a street food cart photo booth. Make everyone back home jealous by sharing snaps of your latest street food discovery.
