Full of magic, culture and holiday cheer this is the most important Christmas fair in Milan.
Milan's premiere street festival is called Oh Bej! Oh Bej! Which translates to "oh so nice! Oh so nice!". The event pulls in huge crowds to the sample a wide array of food and wine. There are stalls selling crafts and souvenirs. The festival in honour of the city's patron saint Ambrogio ends with the exhibition of a sliver statue of the saint at the Duomo cathedral followed by a special service the following Sunday.
The most traditional of Milanese Christmas fairs has been held since across Milan since the 1880s and is also known as the Fiera di Sant'Ambrogio (Saint Ambrose Fair).
Now homed in the spacious Sforza castle the market features many crafts, delicacies, bric-a-brac and winter warmers for people of all ages. The fair gets pretty crowded and is followed by an Italian national holiday, the day of the Immaculate Conception.
