Finishing April in style, the Malta International Firework Festival knows how to make an impression.
Join thousands of locals and tourists alike as they take to the waterfront to 'ooh' and 'aah' as Malta's island skies come to life. A mini battle takes place between a number of fireworks companies as their performances in the sky are accompanied by music blasting across the city. Whilst previous editions of the festival only saw displays in the Grand Harbour, this year there will also be displays in Gozo and Marsaxlokk.
The event kicks off on the 22nd in Gozo with fireworks from Romania, the Czech Republic and Malta, sees Italy and Croatia show off their displays on the 28th in Marsaxlokk. The event finishes with a grand finale on the 30th at the Grand Harbour, which offers a perfect view of the action.
Visitors can indulge in live entertainment as alongside the displays, as well as sampling traditional dishes at numerous food stalls which will be set up around the harbour.
With a party this good, it's safe to say Malta will be leaving April with a bang.
