Bringing a week-long street party full of flamenco and cheerful faces, this fair commemorates the re-conquest of the city by Isabella and Ferdinand.
A week long street party full of flamenco and cheerful faces the fair commemorates the re-conquest of the city by Isabella and Ferdinand and traditionally runs from Saturday to Saturday on the third week of August.
The first night of the Fair sees the traditional ‘Pregón de la Feria’ (opening address) read out from the Town Hall balcony, followed by a firework display which can be seen as far away as the Port, which is where you may get the very best views. The following day people take to the streets to dance, drink and generally be merry.
Millions visit the fair and the partying in Malaga is split into two events, during the day fiestas go on until 7pm. In true Spanish style everything stops for a evening siesta and then the fun continues from 9pm until dawn.
*We do our very best to verify the dates of our events but please check with the official event provider before booking your flights. We would hate for you to be disappointed!
