Time really does fly when you're having fun at the Bournemouth Air Festival where around 800,000 spectators are treated to a dazzling display of aerobatics at one of the biggest air shows in the world across four spectacular days.

Every year the Bournemouth Air Festival brings hundreds of thousands to the coastline to witness a remarkable display by various air forces from across the world. Plane fanatics will be pleased to hear that this year will see the F/A-18 Hornet and Super Puma Display Team from the Swiss Air Force participate in the UK's free aviation festival. Tourists last year were wowed by an incredible variety of air stunts and performances. From lightning-fast jets and classical machines to death-defying aerobatics and incredible parachute display teams, 2017 is expected to see more of the same.

Yet don't think that all the entertainment at Bournemouth Air Festival is flying high. Sea displays, family fun attractions and live music all provide entertainment at ground level. Between the Bournemouth and Boscombe Piers you'll find nearly two miles of trading stalls and spectacles. And those who aspire to join the army, Royal Navy or similar can talk with various professionals, witness their assets first-hand and enjoy their many presentations and interactive activities.

Across the four-day event a festival atmosphere sweeps the coastline with both tourists and locals packing the beach to relax in the English sunshine. And when the sun goes down, the fun doesn't stop there. Night Air at the Piers creates a more lively vibe with a number of performances and firework displays. With nearly 200,000 spectators expected each day, the Bournemouth Air Festival is one of the country's biggest tourism events.

If you can make time for it this August, The Bournemouth Air Festival will surpass your expectations with flying colours.
