Here at Travioor, we love a good deal. From happy hours to bargain flights - we're always on the hunt for the perfect budget travel hack. So the fact the Bournemouth and Poole fireworks night is completely free definitely gets our seal of approval. Held every year to celebrate Guy Fawkes night, this visual, festival-esque display is the perfect way to spend a Saturday night.
Beginning in the late afternoon (around 5pm) the event hosts dozens of theme-park rides, pop-up food stalls and take-away drinks bars. Thousands of visitors flock from the city and surrounding areas to celebrate this annual event with a bang. The build up is fun, but the real festivities kick off at 8 p.m. with a spectacular fireworks show over beautiful Poole harbour. This isn't just the odd Catherine wheel and a few sparklers - this is one of the UK's biggest, brightest and most dazzling displays.
Afterwards, head to one of Poole's quayside bars for a tipple or hop on the bus back into Bournemouth for a night on the town (about 30 minutes away). After all, with this sparkling event being completely free, you'll have a saved a few pennies for a pint.
