We could all do with laughing more right? Get ready to crack a smile at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival, which celebrates all things humorous. From spoof gags and satirical wit to chances for (brave) audience members to try their hand at stand up, there are hundreds of shows to choose from. We'll let you decide what makes you chuckle the most.
2017 will welcome the 15th edition of the festival and it is likely to include some special guests and exclusive features. The largest of its kind in Europe, Glasgow Comedy Festival has won several awards (worthy of bragging rights surely?) and attracts a range of local and international comedy greats. Over 40 venues host around 300 shows - from small theatres to huge auditoriums. Expect top name TV comedians as well as emerging new talent, fresh out of comedy school.
With big names and acclaimed international fame, Glasgow International Comedy Festival is likely to sell out fast - keep an eye on the event website to find out news about ticket releases - after all, you don't want to miss a chance to giggle. If you decide to brave the stand-up though, maybe avoid the pre-show beers. After all, nothing says crash and burn like a drunk comedian.
