Featuring carnival rides, a beer garden and eating competitions, the Great American Foodie Fest comes to Henderson in October.
Just hearing the words Great American Foodie Fest ignites thoughts of feasting like a king and working your way through a mountain of food - and you wouldn't be mistaken. This annual event taking place in the city of Henderson, Nevada just outside of Las Vegas, is one of the largest food festivals on the west coast and attracts tens of thousands of visitors across the long weekend.
The event also takes place in California and Arizona but we think Vegas does it best. You can expect over 50 of America's best food trucks as well as a host of speciality food vendors who will provide a diverse range of cuisine and flavours from across the world. Festival favourite include: Stripchezze, Nothing bundt cakes, Hot diggity dog and Waffle love. There will also be huge eating competitions, a beer garden to wash down all those tasty treats and a selection of carnival rides.
Unlimited re-entry passes are $8 when bought online beforehand or $10 on the door - but this does not include the cost of food and drink. They're also pretty strict about not allowing food and drink into the event other than what the vendors are selling, so bring plenty of money if you want to try a bit of everything.
Just make sure you don't eat right before jumping on a ride; if you're going to feast like a king, it's best if you act like one too.
