Forget the beach body if you're in Miami during the South Beach Wine and Food Festival, this is one event your taste buds can't miss.
With so much delicious food in South Beach, it's surprising that everyone looks so good when they hit the beach. But when the South Beach Wine and Food Festival comes to town in February, who cares? People prefer to talk more about the mouth-watering cuisine and tasty wine on offer than compare who's been to the most SoulCycle classes.
Originally starting out as a one-day event over 15 years ago, the festival has gone from strength to strength to become a five-day extravaganza. Back in 2002, the debut festival attracted some 7000 guests and by 2006 it became fully-established as one of the most significant festivals of its kind in America.
Today what is also known simply as SOBEWFF has close to 100 events across five days featuring around 350 chefs, culinary personalities, winemakers and a selection of food network and cooking channel stars. You can expect to see world-class cuisine and tasty innovative creations on display, as well as a variety of wine, spirits and other beverages, all prepared, crafted and presented by some of the world's most respected names.
So forget looking good for a few days and treat yourself; you are on holiday after all.
