The last time we saw this many things all complement each other at once was when we sat down for a full English breakfast after waking up with a dreadful hangover. And much like your bacon, eggs, sausage and beans, at the Wynwood Life Street Festival art, music, food and fashion seem to work in perfect harmony to create something super appealing and pretty special. (Okay perhaps our comparison is a little eggy but you get what we're saying.)

Every April, the neighbourhood of Wynwood hosts this hugely popular festival which takes place on 23rd Street between 5th and 6th Avenues. It attracts people of all ages from across the city and beyond, as well as a number of visiting tourists who attend to get a taste of the action.

Art is a huge part of the festival with the Back Alley the place to be to watch top street artists working away, whereas the Art House draws in people who wish to view excellent pieces in the pop-up gallery. From inspiring painters to designers and illustrators, Wynwood Life showcases a wide range of styles and personnel, and also offers the opportunity to the general public to get their art seen by thousands.

The Live Music Stage will feature an array of talented acts including around twenty bands who never fail to get people up on their feet from start to finish. Inbetween acts you can ponder over the gifts at the 150 plus arts and crafts stalls. Alternatively, if fashion is more your thing, you're in the right place; Wynwood is Miami’s original Fashion District. Head for the Style Lounge & Runway where you'll find all the fashionistas hanging out talking trends, shoes and styles.

The festival attracts thousands across the weekend and there really isn't a better place to be in the city over the three days. Expect a buzzing atmosphere from beginning to end and the cool, Latin vibes we've all come to expect from one of America's most popular cities.

We almost forgot to mention the food. You're sure to build up an appetite here. Many are left drooling and spoilt for choice when faced with the many South Florida food trucks which bring with them some of the best local street food you'll come across in the state. They might not have a full English on offer, but we guarantee there will be something just as good... if not better. Yes we said it! See for yourself and enjoy.

  • Get there: Fly into Miami International Airport then take the metro to reach the city and beach.
  • Stay: Find a hotel by the beach so you can soak up the sun before and after the festival.
