Big appetite, big waistline, big heart? Do you tick all the boxes? Well then you need to head to Portland for the chance to eat up and give back.
Feast Portland encapsulates what Portlanders love about their hometown, offering both locals and tourists alike the chance to feast on some of Portland's greatest delights.
With over 40 events in various locations, Feast Portland Festival is a food and drink festival with a twist. Whilst it's primarily about celebrating what makes both Portland and Oregon great, at the heart of the festival is a mission to help end childhood hunger. Since its inception, Feast Portland has donated over $230,000 to charities working to end childhood hunger in both Oregon and the United States in general.
Portland's food offerings are wider than you might think, from homegrown fruits and vegetables to salmon, crab and tuna fresh from the ocean, there's plenty of sustainable options on offer. The drink celebrations are pretty broad too, with past events showcasing how to get the best out of a decent cuppa, as well as the more obvious (but just as exciting) cocktail classes. For the food photographers among us, Feast Portland have even had events demonstrating how to get that perfect, Instagram-worthy snap.
With hands-on classes, large-scale events and panel sessions running throughout the festival, Feast Portland is sparking a food revolution. Participants at the event consist of artisans, breweries, chefs, distilleries and winemakers, which allows for quite a variety of events across the extended weekend.
Many of the events require you to book tickets in advance, so if you don't want to miss out on the ultimate feast of Portland's food and culture, make sure you get in there early.
Those extra calories don't count when you're doing your bit for charity, we promise.
*We do our very best to verify the dates of our events but please check with the official event provider before booking your flights. We would hate for you to be disappointed!
