Taste of DC Festival

7 - 8 Oct 2017
Pennsylvania Avenue

Visitors looking for a weekend of food, drink and entertainment are in the right place with the Taste of DC Festival.

  • When? 7 - 8 October 2017
  • Where? Pennsylvania Avenue
  • Price: There are four ticket options which vary in price. 2017 prices TBC.

President George Washington might have favoured all things cherry flavoured (according to his biographers anyway), but head to Taste of DC Festival and you'll find his namesake city offering something for all tastes.

With over 60 restaurants, 100 speciality beers and wines, live performances and exciting culinary demonstrations, the Taste of DC Festival is not one to miss.

Cheap day tickets start between $10-20 and often include vouchers to use across the weekend. Whilst the more expensive VIP tickets will get you access to all the food and drink you could ever dream of, you'll also get access to seminars and demonstrations to give you that exclusive behind-the-scenes scoop.

If it's entertainment you're seeking, then look no further than Ben's Chili Bowls World Chili Eating Challenge. This bizarre competition is headed to the stage on the Saturday when competitors go head to head against what has been dubbed as the finest chili in the land.

If you prefer to eat your food at a leisurely pace head to Restaurant Row for some tasty samples or a sit-down meal. In the Bier Garten there's (you guessed it) delicious Craft Beer.

And the cherry on top? You don't have to worry about over indulgence - the grounds span for more than half a mile which is equivalent to a 2300 step loop on your fitness trackers.

  • Get there: Head for the White House and you'll find Pennsylvania Avenue. Take the subway to Farragut West or Foggy Bottom.
  • Stay: Book accommodation in downtown Washington to be nearby.
